MICHELLE TRACHTENBERG

Michelle Trachtenberg nació en Nueva York el 11 de octubre de 1985, es una actriz estadounidense principalmente conocida por su papel en la serie Buffy la cazavampiros como Dawn Summers, la hermana de Buffy.
Hija de un ingeniero llamado Michael Trachtenberg y de Lana Trachtenberg, de ascendencia rusa, antigua actriz y marionetista que se ocupa de su representación artística, tiene una hermana mayor, Irene.
Desde los tres años hizo anuncios publicitarios. No ha asistido a clases de arte dramático. En 1993, cuando tenía ocho años y tras trabajar como modelo infantil publicitaria, Michelle dio un gran salto en su carrera como actriz al participar en la serie de televisión All my children. Participó más tarde en la serie de Nickelodeon Las aventuras de Pete & Pete durante sus dos últimas temporadas (1994 y 1995), interpretando a Nona Mecklenberg, la amiga de Pete Chico. Posteriormente trabajo en la película Harriet la espía (Harriet the Spy), lo que constituyó su verdadero salto a la fama.
Michelle ha ganado ya unos cuantos premios. Dos veces el "Young Artist Award", una vez "Best Performance in TV Comedy Series: Supporting Young Actress" y una vez "Lea's thing Young Actress" por Harriet la espía. Por el papel de Dawn la nominaron en los Saturn Awards en la categoría " Best Supporting Actress".
Antes de actuar en Buffy la cazavampiros ya adoraba la serie y fue la propia Sarah Michelle Gellar la que la propuso para el personaje, porque habían trabajado juntas en All my children.
Michelle no sólo se lleva muy bien con Sarah sino con otros actores de la serie, como por ejemplo con Amber Benson y James Marsters. Le encanta jugar a los bolos con James.Tiene otros hobbies:nadar, jugar al tenis y clases de Tae Kwon-Do. Le gusta leer mucho y escribir historietas cortas o de terror.
